About AAPA

The American Accounts Payable Association (AAPA) is the professional society for Accounts Payable management. Founded in 2008, it is run by a professional staff under the direction of the Executive Director.

 


Vision Statement

The American Accounts Payable Association is the leading advocate for the advancement of accounts payable professionals and a catalyst for connecting the AP industry with employers and government. Our vision is to create opportunities and forge a community by providing the education, skills, and resources necessary for AP professionals to become successful leaders and strategic partners within their organizations.

Mission Statement

AAPA pursues the following objectives:

  1. To increase the Accounts Payable professional's skill level through education and mutual support.
  2. To obtain recognition for accounts payable work as practiced in today's business and legislative environments and as a professional discipline.
  3. To represent the AP Professional on the federal, state and local level.
  4. To provide public service education on AP and employment issues.

Membership

Anyone engaged in AP/disbursements administration and/or related fields is eligible for AAPA membership. AAPA proudly represents a true cross section of the accounts payable profession.

AAPA publishes an updated library of publications supporting AP compliance, research, and education.

Professional Education

AAPA offers comprehensive education for accounts payable professionals, including a full slate of training courses and conferences.
