Douglas Shulman

Before his appointment, he was Vice Chairman of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), the privatesector regulator of all securities firms doing business in the United States. Earlier in his career, Shulman served as Senior Policy Advisor and then Chief of Staff of the National Commission on Restructuring the IRS.

Mark Eichorn

The Assistant Director has been invited to speak on topics including:

  • Consumer protection
Mr. Eichorn provides programmatic and technical management for the FTC's Division of Privacy and Identity Protection, which oversees issues related to consumer privacy, credit reporting, identity theft, and information security. The Division enforces the statutes and rules within its jurisdiction, engages in outreach and policy development, and educates consumers and businesses about emerging privacy, credit reporting, and information security issues, as well as identity theft prevention and assistance. In addition, the Division analyzes the impact of current and potential legislative initiatives in the areas within its purview.
